Multi-Instrumentalist · Third Generation Marley
Bambaata (born Daniel Bambaata Robert Nesta Marley) is a Jamaican singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He is the eldest son of Ziggy Marley and the eldest grandson of Bob Marley, making him a third-generation Marley musician. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, he grew up between Kingston, Miami, and Los Angeles — absorbing reggae, hip-hop, dancehall, rock, blues, and Americana along the way.
A self-described "one-person song machine," Bambaata writes, produces, records, and performs everything himself. From percussion as a child to MPC production, guitar, bass, and keys — his genre-blurring sound fuses roots reggae with alternative, dub, and hip-hop. As he puts it: "I choose to dedicate this life to making conscious music and delivering positive vibes to a global audience."

Bambaata is forging his own path while honoring the incomparable legacy of the Marley name. His music blends the spiritual depth of roots reggae with a modern, genre-defying edge.
As the eldest grandson of Bob Marley, Daniel Bambaata Marley carries the torch with authenticity and innovation — a true one-man band who writes, produces, and performs every note.
M.E.S.A. Part 1 showcases a vibrant new voice in the Marley dynasty. Bambaata's ability to weave conscious lyrics with production that spans reggae, hip-hop, and alternative is genuinely compelling.
